001—ANIME EXPO
Rebrand

Introducing a reimagined identity for Anime Expo, one of the largest anime conventions in the world. This concept rebrand reframes AX from an event you simply attend into a living community you step into. My task was to take the identity from strategy through execution — building out the logo, visual language, and motion system, and bringing it to life across applications from posters to app UI to animation. Join us as we explore this transformation: "Step Into Our World."

002—OPEN STRUCTURES
MOTION DECK (Brand Montage)

OpenStructures describes itself as “an exploration on open modular construction where anyone designs for everyone on the basis of one shared grid.”

Many people, one system – visualizing collaboration and distributed creativity.

003—Norton Simon Museum
Rebrand

The Norton Simon Museum is an art museum located in Pasadena, California, United States. It was previously known as the Pasadena Art Institute and the Pasadena Art Museum and displays numerous sculptures on its grounds.

To cultivate sustained encounters with art for culturally curious vicistors seeking depth, reflection, and dialogue across all time.

004—REMEMBER
Music Sequence Design

A light that turns a colorless world into one filled with hope.

In our story, a young girl becomes the source of the light within a colorless world. When she unleashes her magic, it bursts outward from her—infusing the surroundings with color and warmth. In that instant, the entire world transforms from dark rainy day to the environment which is full of sunshine, becoming filled with hope and new life.

005—A FISH CALLED WANDA
Title Sequence Design

A Fish Called Wanda (1988) is a sharp, chaotic heist comedy about a group of thieves who betray each other after stealing diamonds.

Driven by their greed for the “treasure,” the characters constantly deceive and betray on one another, creating a spiral of chaos. At the same time, the film’s overall tone is steeped in dark humor.

006—BLOW UP
Title Sequence Design

Blow-Up (1966) is a film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, widely regarded as a landmark of 1960s cinema. Set in Swinging London, it follows Thomas, a fashionable but detached fashion photographer, who believes he may have accidentally photographed a murder in a park.

In the film, the photographer Thomas is constantly searching for the truth. In the final scene, the moment he picks up the invisible tennis ball symbolizes his acceptance of the blurred boundary between reality and illusion. I want to focus my sequence on this idea of ambiguity — can we ever truly see reality?

007—NARRENSCHIFF
Sequence Design

NARRENSCHIFF is a horror puzzle game set in the 1980s, featuring a retro pixel aesthetic blended with pencil-drawn visuals.

Focusing on the idea of irreconcilable pain—the kind of guilt and regret that Wade has been living with ever since his mother's death.

008–WIRED
Motion Logo Reveal

WIRED Magazine is a leading publication that explores the intersection of technology, culture, and innovation, often highlighting how emerging trends shape society and the future. Its identity blends cutting-edge journalism with a forward-thinking, design-driven aesthetic that reflects the pulse of the digital age. To reflect those, as well as the brand’s wide range of information and news, complex visuals are mainly used in the film.

WIRED’s logo consists of five letters and three squares, which I want to use that serve as the basis for visual variations in the title sequence. I used cubes and checkerboard grid as my main element.

009–Open Earth
Synthesis two different popular and culturally significant US Music Festivals to partner with the National Parks as the Brand for the Outdoor Music Festival

Culture Clash 2026 is an eco-conscious, multi-genre cultural fusion festival that unites the intimacy of a nature-based gathering with the inclusivity and scale of a global music event. Spanning indigenous and folk traditions, electronic/experimental sound, hip-hop, rock, and global fusion acts, the festival positions music as both entertainment and a tool for cross-cultural dialogue. More than a concert, it is a living cultural installation — blending performance with storytelling, education, and environmental stewardship.

011—TENNESSEE WILLIAMS
Book Design

The Great Writer Series, Tennessee Williams.
A tribute to Tennessee Williams in the form of an 8-page book. Williams was elegant but never stiff, and his wit ran through even his darkest stories. I wanted the design to hold both: refined enough to feel literary, playful enough to feel alive.

The book moves from the cover and inside cover into a main essay and a closer look at his best-known works. Typography, layout, and pacing carry his voice, so a reader meets the man as well as the plays.

Elegance with a sense of humor.
